They bluster in silence. They break and they foam
when they hit the shore of dusk.
They roar and they bark
louder than the ocean's thunder and storm.
They sputter and spray into a salty mess
unnoticed in the glamour and gloom of a starless sky.
And I may say nothing, and my shadow may rest in the absence of light.
I won't move when they call my name
unknown in the glamour and gloom of a nameless night.
I won't blink when the wind hits my eye.
I won't breath.
And I may say nothing, and my shadow may rest.
For those who are nameless for a day and a night may bathe in a puddle of rain
while their shadows move, blink and breath
unseen in the absence of light.
Nameless for the length of a dream and a thunder storm.
"A change in the weather is sufficient to recreate the world and ourselves" ~ Marcel Proust
